13/11 - Roger out of Super Challenge (Graciemag)

GRACIEMAG.com contacted the current openweight Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Roger Gracie concerning the preparations for Super-Challenge Grappling which is to take place on December 8th, in the gymnasium of Atletico Paulistano Club in Sao Paulo. There was some bad news. The black belt winner will not be fighting in the event thus decreasing the number of the fighters of the competition which is still counting on the participation of such great names as Jeff Monson,Fabrício Werdun, Demian Maia, Ronaldo Jacare, Robert Drysdale, Pe de Chumbo and many others. “I accepted the invitation in the beginning but I have a very busy schedule. I would like to commit myself to my gym and to my students here in London. Another reason for my refusal is the lack of time to properly train for the event”, said Gracie.
